Life Goes On!

Hello Everybody!!! Just a quick update. We haven't been burnt up in any fires. We get some of the smoke, and can smell it, but we're not near any of them. The closest was in Santa Rosa Valley, near Camarillo. It's already been put out. It's been quite hot though. I'd go for the AC, only I don't want to send in any of the outside air. I don't know if it would or not, I'll try later. The Santa Ana's are pretty rough. We've seen branches down, some even large ones on cars, saw a tree blown over, and all the general blowing things.
Anyhow, things are getting better for Johny, esp. since the (hmm hmm, cough cough, gag) woman down the street isn't bugging him anymore, and there's no one left on the street for her to spread her lies to.
Johny's really enjoying school. He actually, usually, does his homework with out much of a fight! His homework last week was working on a timeline of his life. His first Personal History!! He did pretty well, though he didn't want to practice. It was an oral report, and they had to introduce themselves "Hello my name is Johny Campbell." Then he has to tell 3-5 things about himself, and then conclude with "Now you know about me. Thank you for listening. He said he did a good job, and that Ms. Jennifer said she could tell he practiced.

Hi. Life sucks sometimes. Especially when it comes to cars, insurance, money, and police. Blah. Oh well, life goes on, and mud dries and flowers bloom. eh.





Anyhow, on a couple of brighter notes. The kids are enjoying their soccer teams and games. Johny's are more fun to watch, but the little girls are cute too. Ginny played the whole game last Sat! She did well, and even did the throw in that her team was able to score a goal off of!! Yea!! Johny's doing well going after the ball, and facing the other team. Esp, this one huge kid the other week!! Way to go Boy-O!

AND.....drum roll please..... I hit my goal birthday weight that I set for my last week!! Yea! And I've continued to lose. I am now less than 10 lbs. away from my Thanksgiving goal weight. Too bad we can't be in AZ. and go for the clothes shopping fun. Anyhow, I've lost a grand total of 24-25 lbs. since June!! Yea!! Eating right is getting easier too, and when I do want some "junk", or higher type stuff, I'm still OK. (though I never weigh right after a meal, especially a big one!) Boy I could go for a steak right now though! Well done, please. Preferably Tri-Tip, but NY will be fine too. With a salad, baked potato, and veggies.

And even MORE fun!!

Where oh where is a nice little rock I can crawl under?? The fun just keeps on coming. Yippee. Katie decided to sit on the steps out front, and only half her little bum made it on the step, so she fell (rolled/sommersaulted) down the stairs. About 5-6 steps. If it was a better day, and it hadn't scared me, it would've been a little funny, actually. She was sideways, and she just kinda rolled down, like in a cartoon. She bumped her head a couple of times on the way down, but she's fine. She was more scared than hurt. She wasn't standing, and it wasn't a bad fall, and she landed sitting. It was also a little like slow motion, but she's fine. Couple new bumps and scratches on her head, to blend in with the other ones she has. Maybe we'll skip gymnastics for her, and she can take tumbling! Anyhow, it's been a L-O-O-O-O-N-N-G-G day!!! And, of course I got nothing done! Yea.

And the Fun Never Ends......

I want to find a rock, and crawl under it for awhile. We were in an accident on the way to school this morning. We're fine, but the car got crunched. We hit a teacher from Johny's school, to boot! We were going along fine, then all the cars in front of her stopped, so she had to stop fast, so we had to stop fast, but didn't stop before we ran into her. She was able to move over, so she didn't get the car in front of her. When we got to Ginny's PreK, she looked at the car and said, "Mommy! I can see inside!" Glad every one's OK, Katie's still in her infant seat, so had extra protection, and the car still works. And just to make everything even more fun, this is "inspection week" for the apts., and we'll be having some people come inspect on Friday. Sometime between 8-5, and no one knows for sure, which apts. will be chosen to be inspected. (though, everyone thinks it's them. No one likes our manager, so we all think she'll pick "us" no matter what the computer "randomly" draws)
Ah well. Back to dishes!! Yuck. I want a nap. And another ice cream sundae! And a cliff.

LOSER!!

HI! Well, I just did the math. I only have about 13lbs to lose by Thanksgiving, to meet my goal. Should be OK though, since I'm already almost at the goal I set to reach by my birthday, and that's still 3wks away! (I want a pony, by the way.) Of course, as I'm typing this, I'm eating some peach cobbler. Yum. I think I'll add all the liquid next time, and as I said before, a little less flour.
Katie climbed the Pirate Ladder at the play yard again, several times. I'd post a pix, only I don't know how to from my phone. OK, make that I want a scanner and a nice L-O-N-G nap for my birthday, not a pony. We don't have room for one anyhow, besides I'd have to share him with the kids in the neighborhood, and do a lot of extra cleaning. Not to mention getting in trouble with our %&%&$ manager. Oh yeah, I'll have a tri-tip steak dinner too. ;0)

I'm the biggest winner!

Whoo hoo! Just did the math, and I've lost about 20lbs. since June 3!!! Yea!! Now, when I reach my Thanksgiving target weight, should I get a new top, new jeans, or a new dress? (non nursing style!!!)
Had a downpour yesterday. Glad I kept Johny home. (the kid put himself to bed between 6:30-7, Th. and slept until nearly 8 the Friday morning!!) Thunder and lightning last night. I slept through it. Didn't do Ginny's game today. I read the fields were closed, then found they weren't, but Katie has yucky nose, and then it rained some more. Had trouble keeping the kids in today anyhow. Katie always tries to escape, I'm glad she can't open the door.
Made peach cobbler for dessert tonight. I think I used a little too much flour, but it was good.
