Johny Knows His Articles of Faith!

In our Primary, kids who memorize all 13 AofF get a cake. Johny worked really hard, in fact I had to take his Article of FAith cards away several times to get him to do his work! But he has them all memorized!! We can ask him any random number, and he'll tell us what it is!! He would've been the first one in Jr. Primary, but they moved his class up to Sr. Pri. a couple weeks earlier than we thought, so he's the youngest in Sr. to have them all. We say that he was both, because technically, he should still be in Jr. but because he's the only one is age, they have him with the next class up, which is good for him. Yea!. He asked for his cake to be chocolate, with chocolate chips in it, with M&M's on top. (for the longest time he had wanted a pumpkin pie, his fav., but someone else asked for a cake similiar to this, and he thought it sounded good.) Katie approved of his choice!

Ginny was surprised by comming home from playing with friends one day, to find her big Girl Bed all assembled, and waiting for her. It's a trundle, and she's been sleeping on the lower one. As soon as we can get a mattress, Katie will be moving onto that one. She already tries to tuck herself in with Ginn now!!



I only got some of the hearts painted, I'll do the rest as time goes by. The blue ball is there, because we can't find the gold balls that go there. They've been very good about leaving it on....usually.

We've been busy for the past couple of months. We had Cecily's Blessing, and met Boyce's future wife Suzanne. We went to Johny's "Stepping Up" at school, and said good-bye to one of his teachers who's off teaching at Stanford now. We had Katie's 2yr old birthday, and party at the park. Ginny got her hair cut, and looks really cute!!! Johny slipped doing a leap-spin combo while dancing with his sisters, slipped, landed on his face, and almost broke his nose. Ceci has started reaching a little bit for things. Johny got an award and cake for memorizing all of his Articles of Faith. Ginny got a "new" big girl bed. We've actually had it, but Eric was finally able to assemble it. And Katie has started going "paa". But then she always wants to have a "baaa" afterwards!

Make it a Double!!

Ginny lost another tooth yesterday, and the Tooth Fairy still has nothing to show for it! The first one, as I said, she was so concerned about, then lost it outside playing. This second one she swallowed!!! Tasty! I really don't want to go searching for it, so the TF will just have to take our word on it's coming out!!

I was greatly blessed today! Things have been getting out of hand here, and several friends, including my 2 great VT's came by for a couple/few hours, and helped clean the living room, dining area, and kitchen, including taking trash out, taking recycling, taking some boxes of stuff to the DI bin, doing all the dishes, cleaning the stove, and maybe even replacing our microwave! I miss my microwave though. We've had it for 10 years, and although was large, had lots of power, and I could cook literally anything in it!! Oh well. They said they'd bring one tomorrow, so we'll see! My one friend even ordered pizza for everyone! It was fun, because one pizza, box and all, went to the kids at their picnic table, and it was fun to look outside and see them all actually sitting quietly, munching. If any of them are reading this THANK YOU!! YOU'RE AN ANSWER TO PRAYERS!!! We even found my counters!

I still have to work on the table, though, 'cause it's the homework center, and the computer is currently on it, because the newer comp. is on the desk, but I can't move to that one until I email all my docs and stuff to myself, because I can't put them on a disk to transfer. I wish I could. This old one will become the kids, in Johny's room, when I'm done with sending the stuff. Basically word processing stuff, since he'll have no Internet connection. Another reason why I have to send it before it can go into his room.

Less than 5 days left, (but who's counting)!!! I'm not looking forward to IVs and other shots/needles, oh well. I went to the Dr. for my last appt. yesterday, and took Ginny so she could hear the heartbeat, I took Johny a couple weeks ago. She was very good. Still thinking of names, btw. I still like "Aileen" as a play on "Alien"! But we probably won't go there.

STILL COUNTING!

Well, one week from now the little Alien should be out, or in the process of comming out! I hope it's not before then, yikes! E has to go to special training mtgs. all this week, and can't have the time off! I am not looking forward to this week. Too much to do, to little time and energy.
Other than that stuff, the Big News from last week is.... Ginny lost her first tooth!! It was wiggly, and she was very disapointed that it was still in when she woke up the next morning. Later on, she was playing outside, and it came out, and she lost it somewhere in the grass, or playyard! Poor thing. She was disapointed, agian, and we talked about writing a letter to the Tooth Fairy, because she was worried that the TF wouldn't believe that she had really lost her tooth! But, haven't been able to get her to write it yet! Or even draw a tooth! Silly Girl. Johny and Katie are still going nuts. Johny's doing well on his Articles of Faith, and is on #4-5, Ginny's on 3-4. Katie just likes to look like she knows whats going on. She really likes all the pretty yellow mustard flowers growing everywhere. She likes yellow.
Let's see if I survive the week!!

Geography Test!

I just got the link from Camille/Jerel's blog for the travel/geography test, and actually did pretty well! Here's the link for anyone else who wants to try. I got to level 8, acore of 252,842, and "Travel IQ" score of 100!! Cool! It said I had to beat 300,000 to go to the next level. Anyhow, have fun!

Ginny's Talk from Sunday

Ginny was asked to give a talk last Sunday. It was "I Will Follow The Prophet", which worked out well, since it was a week after Conference, and we got to hear what he had to say! She did well, and even read some of the words! (she's also passed off the first 2 Articles of Faith!, Johny's done the first 3) Anyhow, here it is, Ginny's talk.

I WILL FOLLOW THE PROPHET

Last week we watched Conference.

Pres. Thomas S. Monson is our new Prophet.

He said to follow Jesus and do good. Be good examples.

Be kind and help each other. Show your love.

Go to the Temple, pray for each other, and pray for him.

When I follow the prophet, I follow Jesus.

I will follow them both.

Almost Baby Time!!!!

Well, only a couple more weeks to go. Saw the doctor last week, and I'm scheduled to go in on the 28th. Yippee. That's the closest to my actual "due date" that I've ever been. (It's the 26th) So, now we have the possibility of me going in before then if I start labor or anything. If I do, I was told just go in to the ER and the'll take me right away. Anyhow, I'm not looking forward to the needles, recovery, or the food! (Kaiser food is horrible! someone please send me a pizza or burger!) Well, that's the news for now. Some people say I look like I "dropped", I wouldn't know, all I know is there's an alien in me that wants out!

EASTER!

Well, this was Easter weekend. It was pretty fun. We had our family egg hunt Saturday afternoon. I went to the church bldg. and hid the eggs, and Eric brought the kids a little later. They had fun. Katie found 1 egg, then took off to go play on the nursery toys. Johny brought her back, and after she stopped screaming at him for bringing her back, she had fun finding her eggs, and trying to eat all the chocolate. Johny and Ginny's eggs were hidden a bit better than Katie's, whose eggs were just scattered on the grass. They were very excited to be able to find them all.

Sunday was a beautiful Easter day. Ginny wore her dress that Grandma Campbell made her for her birthday, and she looked very pretty and cute. Katie wore a little pink number, that had little white polka-dots all over it, and a fabric flower at the waist. She looked so pretty and cute! We were supposed to go to the car, but instead she took off across the grass calling for Daddy, who went to get something. She looked just like one of the little girls in the movies, commercials, etc. as she trotted across! Johny had a nice spring colored shirt.

Johny also got to give the Scripture and prayer in primary. He did very well. He read D&C 76:22-24.

"And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!

For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father--

That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God."

We had thought of doing verses 40-42 as well, but didn't.

"And this is the gospel, the glad tidings, which the voice out of the heavens bore record unto us--

That he came into the world, even Jesus, to be crucified for the world, and to bear the sins of the world, and to sanctify the world, and to cleanse it from all unrighteousness;

That through him all might be saved whom the Father had put into his power and made by him"

About Me, by Ginny

In Ginny's Pre-K class, they send home a "journal" and the kids each have a turn telling about themselves, or their rooms and toys, or what-ever. Here's what Ginny dictated today, being her turn to have it this week.

"I got a Ariel pen. And I got it from Topanga as a gift. And me and Katie sleep in the same room. And my brother sleeps with his stuffed animals. I going to have a new baby sister, I think around Easter. The two babies are going to share a room. And Johny's going to have his own room, an' I'm going to have my own room too. And Mommy and Daddy are going to share one room. And I usually like my Ariel pen, and I usually like it for like about 1000 days. Because I really like it so much. And my baby sister and me like to play in our beds, we usually like to play peek a boo, and she usually likes to sometimes try to sleep in my bed like a big girl. And when we're supposed to go to sleep, and we still want to play, we usually still play. We usually play with books. And.....I done." (written with the famous Ariel pen)

She also drew a pix of her baby sister in mommy's tummy, and when i asked her to tell about it, she said that it was her baby sister, and that was "Mommy, waiting ot go to the hospital to get the new baby out". Sounds like a good plan to me!

In Nursery, she saw a pix of Ginny on the wall, from when Gin was in nursery. She climbed up on everything and ripped it off. They were so impressed with her climbing ability, and determination to get the pix, that they let her have it. Yea.

I can't even toss her up on my shoulder anymore, 'cause she tries to jump over and off my back!

Can you spell TROUBLE?!?

Don't let that sweet, innocent little face fool you! She's a Katie Bug! And can climb like one too! The other night, I was reading in bed, and trying to ignore Katie's protests at having to be in her bed. All of a sudden I saw a ghost strolling out of the girls room. I thought my eyes were fooling me. Did Eric take Katie out of bed, and I just didn't see him? What was that? I went down the hall, and saw nothing. I got to the living room, and there was Katie sitting on the couch next to Daddy all proud of herself. He didn't get her out. He thought I did. Nope. SHE CLIMBED OUT OF HER BED BY HERSELF!! She was VERY pleased with herself, like I said. I went back to see if her pillow was there, and she used it for a step. or was a toy to close that she pulled in and used... nope, nothing. She somehow managed to do it all herself. Oh, yes, just to make it more interesting, she sleeps in a

pack & play, and the sides come up to

her chin! This will be fun!

there was a house with people... Ginny and her family...they were cleaning it up on a windy day...the leaves were changing colors, falling down and blowing away...the friends "comed" to see Ginny at the house ... they all played outside "in the windy, windy day"...Ginny's Mom said she could play in the wind for 5 minutes...and Ginny played then her Mom called her in.. she said, "Coming Mom!"

Hello.

Well, I guess it's time to write something new. We've had a fun several months. Oh well. Thanksgiving was great. (since I haven't posted since Oct) Christmas was fun. New years was a late night, but Johny was glad to be able to stay up til mid-night, and fell asleep shortly thereafter. January was very, very, very Wet!!! I had to get rides for the kids to and from school all month. Ginny had a fun 5th birthday. Valentines day was ok. I had my 3hr glucose test the next day, so no candy all V-day. I hate needles. They hurt. I passed. Had our first Tball practice yesterday, in the rain. Makes sence since their team name is STORM. J&G are on the same team. One of our games will be against the Lightning team. I figure STORM vs. LIGHTNING, the storm will win. Well, that's it for now, I'll go over more details later. All kids have varying degrees of colds. Katie has a bad cough, but is fine.
